Baby, it’s cold outside even in Florida and this easy slow cooker recipe for no bean steak chili will warm your Florida home and fill your belly.
The no bean part means it’s a crowd pleaser for dinner any night!
2 pounds of cubed beef stewing chunks
1 small yellow onion (finely chopped)
1/2 cup of diced carrots
2-3 celery stalks sliced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 can of diced tomatoes with green chilis
2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
In a large skillet, turn heat to medium and add a teaspoon of olive oil. Allow steak cubes to sear until lightly brown.
Add meat and all ingredients (with the exception of cilantro) into a large crock pot and set heat to medium making sure to stir in all ingredients until well blended. Place crock pot settings on low and allow to cook for 8 to 10 hours.
Serve and top with cilantro, shredded cheese, and sour cream to taste. Yields approximately 6 servings and makes a great air freshener.
